UTS College diploma classes and student services are at UTS Building 5 (CB05) located at 1–59 Quay Street Haymarket NSW 2000.

UTS College corporate and professional services and head office is located at Level 13, Building 10 (CB10.13), 235 Jones Street, Broadway NSW 2007

Academic English and UTS Foundation Studies classes and services are located at 645 Harris Street.

The UTS campus provides students with a similar campus-life experience that UTS students enjoy. The facilities are modern with state of-the-art IT equipment, helping to improve connectivity and learning for students. The campus offers several student lounge areas, new science labs, and onsite IT, student and HELPS services, and will help to build our student community, and create opportunities for collaboration, connectedness, and creativity.

All student services and classes for UTS College diplomas are located in UTS Building 5.

ITDS Service Desk, the HELPS Centre, Welfare and Accommodation Services and the Student Centre, including student advisers and Study Success Advisers, are also in Building 5.

There are 28 classrooms across Blocks B and C in Building 5. Your class will be identified in your timetable as: Campus Building Number & Block. Level. Room Number.

For example, if your class is in Building 5, Block B, Level 4, Room 23,
your class location will be written as: CB05B.04.023

UTS College is located in Block C Levels 1 and 2, and Block B Levels 4 and 5.

UTS College has exclusive use of levels 4 and 5, Block B and levels 1 and 2, Block C in Building 5. This may change in future depending on our students’ needs. Other groups occupy other areas of Building 5, however, this does not impact on UTS College students. 

The HELPS Centre is located on Level 1 (ground floor), Block C, Building 5.

The Student Centre, including Study Success Advisers, is located on Level 1 (ground floor), Block C, Building 5.

Diploma of Science classes are in CB05, Block B or C, primarily in the science labs. You can get help to find your classes from the Student Centre or the HELPS Centre.

Diploma of Business classes are in CB05, Block B or C. You can get help to find your classes from the Student Centre or the HELPS Centre.

Diploma of Engineering classes are in CB05, Block B or C. You can get help to find your classes from the Student Centre or the HELPS Centre.

Diploma of IT classes are in CB05, Block B or C, primarily in the computer labs. You can get help to find your classes from the Student Centre or the HELPS Centre.

Diploma of Communication classes are in CB05, Block B or C. You can get help to find your classes from the Student Centre or the HELPS Centre.

Diploma of Design & Architecture classes are in CB05, Block B or C. You can get help to find your classes from the Student Centre or the HELPS Centre.

Diploma of Animation Production classes are in CB05, Block B or C. You can get help to find your classes from the Student Centre or the HELPS Centre.
UTS Foundation Studies classes continue to be taught at 645 Harris Street, Ultimo.
English language programs continue to be taught at 645 Harris Street, Ultimo.

 

Campus facilities and help

12 classrooms are located on Level 4 and 5 of Block B. Student facilities in Block B include:
Student breakout areas:
  • two large areas on Level 4 and Level 5 to rest, relax, and study
  • device charging stations
  • 55” digital signage screens.
Balconies:
  • areas adjacent to main breakout areas on Level 4 and 5
  • overlooking garden courtyard.
The following College facilities and services are located on Level 1 (ground floor) of Block C:
  • UTS College Student Centre (for UTS College enquiries only)
  • HELPS Centre with lounge and 16 student workspaces
  • Welfare and Accommodation Services
  • ITDS Service Desk
  • computer labs
  • classrooms for Engineering, IT, Business and Science.

The following College facilities and services are located on Level 2 of Block C:
  • 11 classrooms for up to 20 students in each
  • science labs including a dry lab
  • student printer located outside room 56
  • UTS security and first aid, room 32
  • equipment storage.
Not currently. This may change in future. However, we are centrally and conveniently located only a short walk from a wide variety of shops, cafes and restaurants, including Darling Square and Chinatown.
No. The campus is open and freely accessible from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday.
Yes. Campus tours are available for all students, along with other student activities. See our current and upcoming student events on our website for more details or check Canvas for Welcome Week activities and social events.
Yes. Students are expected to bring their own devices (BYOD) to class. Charging stations are available in the common areas of the campus. To access Wi-Fi on campus, connect to eduroam. Instructions can be found on the website: eduroam
About 70 lockers are available for students in Building 5.
Students will not be allocated permanent lockers. You'll be able to enter your own code on any available locker to open and close it.
No. Student lockers are not operated by key, they are accessed by entering a four digit number. Instructions will be located on the lockers.
Student lockers are 33cm wide, 40cm high, and 45cm deep. This is big enough for a backpack and a few other small belongings. There will also be about 30 larger lockers available if required that are: 30cm wide, 85cm high, and 45cm deep.
Most lockers for students will be in the main breakout areas of Block B, Level 4 and 5. Some may be available in Block C, Level 1 and 2 if needed.
If you are unsure of how to find your class, there is a wayfinding display outside the HELPS Centre. The Student Centre also offers a Concierge service. Like an Apple store, you’ll see a friendly staff member with an iPad ready and available to help you find what you need.
Yes. Access to all UTS Buildings meet Building Code of Australia (BCA) and the Disability (Access to Premises - Buildings) Standards (Premises Standards), to provide access for people with disabilities. The UTS map indicates accessibility to a broad range of services including ramps, restrooms, and parking.
Prayer rooms in UTS Building 3 Level 5 are available for UTS College students. Rooms 006 and 004 are booked by the UTS Muslim Society. Room 029 is accessible for students of other faiths. Please contact UTS’s multi-faith chaplaincy services on Level 4 for any specific support or information you need.
There is roaming security controls in CB05. For emergencies, call 6 (internal telephones) or ph: 1800 249 559.  A security office and guards will also be located at CB05 Block C, Level 2, Room 32. Security guards are first aid trained and first aid kits are located throughout the campus. 
For medical assistance, visit the UTS Medical Service on Level 6 (CB01.06.01), Tower (Building 1), Broadway Campus. More information can be found on the UTS website

First aid kits are located throughout our Building 5 campus. Security officers trained in first aid are located in room 32, Level 1, Block C. For emergencies, call 6 (internal telephones) or ph: 1800 249 559. 
No. Our campus is non-smoking, including vaping and e-cigarettes. Designated smoking areas are located in UTS Building 1 (levels 4, 5, 6) and 6 (level 4). If you smoke outside campus, you must stay at least 4 metres away from all entrances. More information can be found on the UTS website
In the unlikely event of an emergency evacuation, please remain calm and: 
  • listen and follow the instructions of the fire wardens/security guards (in red hats) who will direct you in an emergency
  • take notice of the emergency evacuation alarm, which will also sound
  • follow the exit signs to stairs to evacuate the building 
  • make your way to the evacuation assembly area at the Goods Line – assembly point: the statue in front of the ABC building.
