In this subject students explore relationships between individuals, societies and cultures across environments and time. Self, contemporary society, past cultures and global and multicultural viewpoints are investigated. The subject presents issues of current interest and of direct relevance to the perceived needs of students, including stereotypes and representation of different cultures in the media, self-identity and self-representation,  
self-direction and career choices and cultural commonality and diversity.
