We have extensive academic support in place to set all our students up for success, including those in the UTS Cambridge Accelerator.
Peer mentoring
Peer mentors are students who have successfully completed their studies at UTS College and have been trained as mentors for UTS College students. They can help other students do the same. International students can meet regularly, in small groups, with a peer mentor. Benefits of having a peer mentor include:
- increased academic achievement
- improved social skills
- feeling connected to the College community
- increased attendance and motivation
They also help students settle into Sydney, understand Australian culture, and make new friends.
Student Success Advisers
Dedicated Student Success Advisers support students with highly personalised, comprehensive advice to ensure they meet progress requirements. Your child can book time with a Student Success Adviser and access tailored support, including:
- tips for studying, essay writing techniques, improving time management and more.
- study plan decisions
- elective and subject choices
- attendance and progress counselling and one to one support for any issues that may affect academic performance and personal wellbeing.
24/7 live chat study support
Studiosity is a free study support service for all UTS College students. They can get one-to-one, personal study help in real time, or post work for feedback within 24 hours.
Free, weekly one-on-one learning support
The Learning Centre on campus offers a wide range of resources to help students reach their academic and career goals, providing individual, peer assisted, and group support. Free, weekly one-on-one learning support sessions help students manage their time and prepare for assessments and exams.
