What makes UTS College unique?

UTS College bridges your previous studies and the world of Australian university academics. Find out what else sets us apart from the rest.

The University of You

UTS College doesn’t provide the typical learning experience. Massive lecture halls and professors who don’t know your name aren’t our game. We combine face-to-face teaching with highly personalised support, all without sacrificing the classic university feel.

We keep class sizes small to give you the one-on-one attention you need to learn better. Our lectures vary in size between 20-100 students – a much more intimate size than a standard university class which can have up to 500 students. And tutorials have a maximum of 20 students per class, so you’ll be able to ask questions, participate in discussions, and get to know your teachers.

At UTS College, our focus is making sure you have the tools you need to succeed. We start small – so you can go big.

Home away from home

State-of-the-art facilities, relaxing lounge areas and breakout spaces make UTS College a social world you’ll never want to leave.

Stay connected in our computer laboratories, equipped with over 600 computers designated for diploma students and more than 100 for English language students. At UTS College, high-speed wireless internet can be found everywhere. So, you can show your mum exactly what you’re doing at any time of the day.

We know your study schedule can get busy. That’s why we created social spaces for you to kick off your shoes, take a break, and catch up with friends over a cuppa (the Australian way of saying ‘a cup of coffee or tea’). You can find a space to chill out with your headphones on, or enjoy a quiet space to study, research and do group work in one of the many lounges located throughout campus.

A built-in support system

We know we can’t replace mum and dad. But, we can come close. Here, you won’t be treated as just a student number in a sea of students. Your success is important to us, and we’re wholly invested in your progress, both personally and academically.

Whether you’re currently enrolled or an interested applicant, the UTS College Student Centre is already available to help with anything related to your time here.
