Leadership Program students participate in a number of group activities, training and workshops to help fully immerse themselves in another culture and work life – introducing students to the concepts of leadership within a work environment and providing a head start in career development.
The workshops cover:

- Improving confidence
- Leadership skills, from university to career
- Preparation for work experience.
Fun group activity
Students who successfully complete the workshop component go on to group activity, such as climbing the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge - a memorable experience that develops communication and team work skills.
A key part of the program is the opportunity to undertake work experience. During this component, students are placed in a Sydney-based company for half a day each week for a period of six weeks.
Most faculties at UTS have internships built into their degrees. However, the Leadership Program provides student with the advantage of experiencing an Australian workplace prior to commencing university study, ensuring that they are prepared and have the confidence to build strong industry connections.
