Computer labs

Our computer labs are open 9:00am-6:00pm, Monday to Friday, and high-speed wireless operates throughout the campus. You can also access the facilities at UTS, and help is always available from our friendly IT Support team.

Student Centre

Whether you need help with your study program, payments, student ID cards, immigration and visa concerns, Homestay, academic, personal, or social issues, the Student Centre is here for you.

You’ll find us at Block C, Level 1 (Ground Floor), open Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm. You’re welcome to drop in whenever we’re open. You can also call (+61 2) 9218 8666 or complete the Ask UTS College online form to book an appointment.

HELPS Centre (Higher Education Language and Presentation Support Centre)

When you’re looking for extra one-on-one learning support with English language or academic skills, the HELPS Centre is here for you. You’ll get the help you need to prepare for your assessments and exams with confidence. You’ll find us in Building 5, Block C, Level 1 (Ground Floor).

Student lounges

When it’s time to take it easy, our student lounges have everything you need. You’ll find comfy spaces all over campus to catch up with friends, the facilities you need to heat up a meal, and quiet spots where you can study. Open 8:00am-6:00pm, student lounges can be found in each of our buildings.

Prayer rooms

The UTS Multi-faith prayer rooms are available for students of all faiths who need a space for prayer.

UTS services

UTS facilities and services, including the library, fitness centre, 24-hour computer labs and hundreds of clubs are open to UTS College students.

UTS counsellors

The UTS counsellors are trained to help you with any personal, psychological, learning and administrative issues you might experience. The service is confidential and free of charge, in most situations.

UTS Fitness Centre

ActivateFit on Harris Street has state-of-the-art fitness equipment and expert staff to get you in shape. It’s part of ActivateUTS, so you get a discounted membership rate as a UTS College student.

Health services

As a UTS College student, you can access health and medical help from UTS Health Services. Confidential services include:

  • general medical issues
  • sports medicine
  • women’s health
  • travel vaccinations.

Open Monday to Thursday 8.30am-6.00pm, Friday 8.30am-5:00pm.

Please remember, if you’re an international student, Australian Student Visa regulations require you to have health insurance. It’s called Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) and it qualifies you for consultation and treatment at UTS Health Services. If you can’t secure an approved OSHC Insurance policy, UTS College can arrange one for you before your arrival.

UTS library

As a UTS College student, you have access to the UTS library, one of the most technologically advanced libraries in the southern hemisphere. All its resources are easily accessible to you, including individual and group study rooms, presentation practice rooms and assistive technology rooms. The library’s digital resources are available 24 hours, 7-days a week. UTS Library is open 7-days a week but opening times vary.

Legal services

You can visit UTS Legal Service for help with a range of matters such as tenancy, employment, traffic and criminal offences, civil matters, consumer claims, debts, and family issues. The Student Legal Service can also certify documents and witness statutory declarations. Visit Level 5, UTS Tower Building, 1 Broadway, Broadway NSW 2007. Open Tuesday and Wednesday 10am-4pm, Thursday 11am-8pm. Or call (+61 2) 9514 1155 for an appointment.

It’s important to know that the UTS Student Legal Services doesn’t deal with visa or migration matters, or any issues you may have against UTS College or UTS. The nearest Post Offices are in Broadway Shopping Centre, and Pitt Street Haymarket.
