The HELPS Centre is a facility for all UTS Insearch students and provides individual, peer assisted and group support in a friendly and respectful environment while fostering a sense of wellbeing and belonging.
The HELPS Centre aims to help you reach your study and career goals through the development of the English language and academic understanding. It is a safe, friendly space where you can study and seek help with your assignments and improve your academic speaking and writing skills.
Your teacher may also take your class to the HELPS Centre to research projects or to do other class related activities.
The HELPS Centre has a wide range of resources for learning English, including:
- grammar books
- reading and writing materials
- listening materials
- all current IELTS material
- computers, DVDs, videos, newspapers and magazines.
There are also special kits provided that give you the opportunity to practice, at every level of our English programs. The HELPS Centre staff can also help you with study related questions,or provide extra materials to assist with your study.
You may borrow up to five books or CDs from the HELPS Centre at any one time. However, you must return all your borrowed materials by the due date.
