INSEARCH graduates achieve at the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) on a similar high level to other UTS students.
We’ve long known this by way of individual success stories but recent research now backs this up with statistics. In May, a research team of information specialists from INSEARCH and UTS announced the results of their study of the performance of INSEARCH students compared to the rest of the UTS student body over the years 2001 to 2004.
The results are reassuring to all prospective students at UTS.
They show that on average INSEARCH students achieve a comparable pass rate to non-INSEARCH students. Specifically, INSEARCH graduates attained a pass grade or higher in 89% of their subjects over this four year period.
Jenny Hannan, group general manager education puts this in perspective when she says that, “these are remarkable achievements when you consider that before undertaking their pathways courses many of our students faced significant language, cultural and academic barriers”.
