INFORMATION ON UTS FACULTY OF DESIGN, ARCHITECTURE AND BUILDING
This course is for students seeking intensive training for careers in design, visual communication and architecture. It provides an academic bridge between school and under-graduate entry to UTS or other Australian universities.
All subjects in the course are directly related to university subjects enabling students to focus on their particular area of interest immediately.
After completion of the first two semesters of the Diploma of Design, successful students have the options of articulating into the first year of the UTS Bachelor of Design (Industrial, Interior or Fashion and Textile) or the UTS Bachelor of Arts in Architecture.

ARTICULATION REQUIREMENTS TO UTS
International Students graduating with an Average Mark (WAM) of 70 or better are guaranteed places in the first year of the UTS Bachelor of Design in Industrial Design, Bachelor of Design in Fashion and Textile Design, Bachelor of Design in Interior Design or the Bachelor of Arts in Architecture.
Australian Students graduating with a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 70 or better (with no more than two subject failures) will be eligible to apply for a place in the UTS Bachelor of Design (Industrial, Fashion and Textile* or Interior) without advanced standing. These graduates are also eligible to apply for a place in the UTS Bachelor of Arts in Architecture without advanced standing. For more information on entry to UTS please click here.
* Due to limited places students may not be offered a place in the Fashion and Textile Design course. In this case they will be offered a place in another Bachelor of Design course.
Australian applicants must meet the UTS matriculation requirements for Australian students. Please contact INSEARCH student services for more information.
English Requirements: IELTS (Academic Module) overall score of 5.5, writing score 5, TOEFL 525 plus TWE 4.0, computer based TOEFL 195 plus TWE 4.0, completion of AEP 8.
