This course is designed by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at UTS for students seeking intensive training for careers in the following:

  Media
  Public Relations
  Journalism
  Communications
  Information management
  Advertising
   

The course is particularly intended for students who wish to prepare for entry with advanced standing to a Bachelor's degrees in Communication, Media Studies, Public Relations, Information Management and Journalism at UTS and other leading Australian universities.

This course can give you advanced standing of one year into the UTS Bachelor of Arts in Communication. You will still be required to undertake some first year subjects of the Bachelor of Arts in Communication, but will also be exempt from some second year subjects. Your UTS degree can be finished in two years.

ARTICULATION REQUIREMENTS TO UTS

International Students graduating with a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 70 or better are guaranteed places in the UTS Bachelor of Arts in Communication with advanced standing of one year.

Australian Students graduating with a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 70 or better will be eligible to apply for a place in the UTS Bachelor of Arts in Communication with advanced standing of one year. For more information on entry to UTS please click here

Due to limited places students may not be offered a place in the Media Arts and Production course. In this case they will be offered a place in another Bachelor of Arts in Communication course.

English Requirements:
IELTS (Academic Module) overall score of 5.5
writing score 5, TOEFL 525 plus TWE 4.0,
computer based TOEFL 195 plus TWE 4.0,
completion of AEP 8.
