WHAT DOCUMENTS WILL I NEED?
Collect these before you leave home
It is useful to put together a document folder of all the papers you will need to obtain your visa and to enrol at INSEARCH. You may need other documents if you want to find work after you arrive in Australia. It is a good idea to bring certified copies and English translations with you where appropriate.

Original academic transcripts and other supporting documents such as any work experience or qualifications you have already completed used to support your application |

Receipts for any tuition fees paid, if available |

Certified copies of personal papers, including academic transcripts, any educational or work qualifications you have already completed, and, if applicable, your scholarship letter |

Identification (ID) papers such as birth certificate, driver's licence from your own country, proof of citizenship, international driver's permit |

Documents relating to any RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) applications already made or that you intend to make on arrival at INSEARCH |

Credit cards |

Your medical records, immunisation records and school records of all accompanying family members. |

Marriage certificate if your spouse is coming with you. |

Receipts for goods you may bring with you to Australia to assist with assessing customs duty/sales tax (e.g. computers, cameras) |
WHAT SHOULD I DO BEFORE I LEAVE MY COUNTRY?

Organise all travel arrangements and pack my most important documents in my carry-on (cabin) luggage - passport, airline ticket, valuables, etc. |

Pack my document folder with important documents. |

Check Customs and Quarantine regulations and packed separately items which I need to declare eg: food, computer. |

Arrange to have sufficient funds available (cash and/or travellers cheques) to me on arrival in Sydney |

Have medical / optical / dental check-ups prior to leaving (e.g. bring spare pair of glasses/contact lenses, prescriptions for medicines, etc). |

Purchase padlocks for my luggage. |
|
