RECOMMENDED READING FOR CELTA STUDENTS

To ensure that you are well prepared for the course, it is advisable to gain access to, and read, one of the following three recommended methodology texts.You also need to purchase at least one grammar book. It is also advisable to have access to a good learner's dictionary.

VIDEOS

These are teacher training videos illustrating some essential classroom techniques which you will have to employ in teaching practice.The videos are from 20 - 50 minutes in length and each one has an accompanying lesson plan/description.Videos can only be viewed on monitors in the Learning Centre.

LEARNING CENTRE

After you have been accepted onto the course and paid all fees, you will have access to the Centre with full borrowing rights. There you will find multiple copies of the recommended texts, course books to plan your lessons from, computers for your use and photocopying facilities. When you show your receipt to the staff there, they will issue you with a borrowing card. Most of the books listed above and all of the videos are located in the Centre. The Centre is located on Level 4, CPSU House, 191- 199 Thomas Street, Haymarket.
