Overview

This course is intended to develop fluency and clarity in speech as well as focus on correct rhythm, stress and intonation. Listening and conversation skills are developed as well as confident speaking and presentation skills.

This course, delivered over five weeks on either Tuesday and Thursday nights (6.30pm-8.30pm) or Saturday mornings (9.00-1.30pm) is suitable for general, academic and business students. It is also ideal for participants in other courses who need to develop confidence in presentation skills and other speaking contexts or those who need to develop strategies for the IELTS speaking test.

Pronunciation problems of various language groups are identified, and activities are provided to address these problems. There is an emphasis on fluency and communicative competence.
