UTS Foundation Studies
Offered on behalf of the University of Technology, Sydney, UTS Foundation Studies is a pathway to UTS undergraduate degree programs and INSEARCH higher education diplomas. Designed for students as an alternative to Australian Year 11 or 12, UTS Foundation Studies prepares students for undergraduate study in Australia.
UTS Foundation Studies is offered as an 8 or 12 month program. Students can choose from six different streams: Arts and Social Sciences, Business, Design and Architecture, Nursing and Health Sciences, Information Technology or Physical Sciences. Each stream contains two core subjects, Academic English and Digital Literacies, and three subjects related to the discipline of the stream.
International students who successfully complete the UTS Foundation Studies program with the required GPA (Grade Point Average) and grade in Academic English are guaranteed a place in the first year of an undergraduate bachelor degree at UTS. Students who do not achieve the grades required for admission to their UTS undergraduate degree of choice are guaranteed a place in the corresponding INSEARCH higher education diploma provided that they meet the academic and English language admission requirements.

Students who successfully complete the UTS Foundation Studies program with the required GPA (Grade Point Average) and grade in Academic English are guaranteed a place in the INSEARCH higher education diploma that corresponds to their stream of study. The UTS Foundation Studies program meets the requirements for Foundation Programs which have been registered on CRICOS for delivery in Australia to overseas students providing an academic preparation for seeking entry to first year undergraduate study or its equivalent.
